Hello & welcome to my very first blog post! My intention with this blog is to pour out everything within in me to create value for you, whether that value is in the form of a powerful new insight or something you can simply relate to. I am so excited for this new journey to share my light with you. Thank you for making the decision to read what I have to say.
Big or small, our decisions powerfully shape our destiny and that's what this first post is all about. Recently I made a powerful decision: I will make the decision to decide. To decide literally means to cut off; this means cutting off any other possibility than what you choose. Before I would constantly say out loud and in my head, "I don't know" or "I'm not sure" or "you choose." I would say these phrases about EVERYTHING! You name it: what I wanted to eat, what I wanted to wear, what I wanted to major in, what I wanted to do with my future, I said "I don't know!" And guess where this got me... no where. I think a lot of us can relate to this on many levels especially when it comes to what we want to do with our lives. This comes from a place of fear of not making the right decision because we have a deep need for certainty, some of us more than others. While it is absolutely fine to not have everything figured out, the only way to move in a direction of at least discovering what you want is TO DECIDE. Instead of wasting time making the right decision, make a decision and then make it right. Literally all of the answers are already within you. They are simply buried under the overwhelm of an abundance of options in our great big world and a lack of trust in ourselves. The next time you don't know the answer when someone asks you the dreaded question: "So what do you plan to do after graduation?" or anything along those lines... MAKE. IT. UP. Whatever comes up did not come from no where. It doesn't matter what it sounds or looks like; anything is better than "I don't know." The truth is, we always know, we just pretend we don't. As paradoxical as this might sound, not knowing allows us to feel much more certain and safe than blurting out an answer that...wait for it... might actually be exactly what you want. It's important to know that once you make the decision to decide, your unconscious mind will start working in your favor and manifesting what you truly want into your life.
Starting this blog required one thing from me, deciding. I said "I want to have a blog, so I am going to start one, TODAY." I created something from nothing from that one decision. It's time to boldly step into what you want and who you are. Remember, a flower only blossoms by taking the first step of planting the seed.
